End valve installation

The end valve can only be connected to an existing water supply.

Materials and tools

For this, a so-called mortise clamp or simply a tee is used. The tee is quite simple and easy to use.

To install the clamp, you need a drill, a screwdriver and a file, you also need to buy the clamp itself with a guide sleeve and a rectangular rubber gasket installed on it. Remember to turn off the water before installing the tee.

Operating procedure

The clamp must be very carefully and carefully screwed to the pipe, with the guide sleeve outward in which to find the hole.

Next, the pipe is drilled (use a drill for this) and attached to the clamp or to the pipe section itself, on which the end valve is subsequently mounted.

The next steps look like this:

1. At the end of the pipe, form a thread of the same size and type as in the clamp;
2. Wrap the external thread with a sealant, you can also use FUM tape;
3. Using force, screw the end valve onto the outer pipe;
4. Connect a hose to the second end of the end valve (supplied with the washing machine);
5. Install the reverse side (end) of the hose to the washing machine;
6. Check everything for leaks.

It happens that screwing a tap onto an external thread with a FUM tape or sealant is very easy.If this is the case, it is necessary to remove the tap and wind up more of the material that you are using, because if this is not done, then the tightness of the connection will be low.

To both ends of the hose (which is attached to washing machine) there are rubber gaskets, they are extremely important when connecting your structure to the water supply, so we do not advise you to lose or throw them away. In most cases, one end of the hose is angled and the other end is straight.

As practice has shown, it is most convenient connect the angled end of the hose to the washing machine, and the straight end to the water supply, because basically the device is closer to the wall.

Crane installation

There is such a type of "pipe-hose". For such a connection, it is better to use a through valve.

Here are three options for placing this crane:

• First option: you already have a crane with a tap for any object.
  In this embodiment, a tee crane can be used both before the delivered crane and after it.
• Second option: perhaps a hose (which is supposed to be connected to your washing machine) stretches to water heater.

If corrosion has spoiled the pipes

There are cases when the ends of the pipes are damaged by metal corrosion, which makes it impossible to install the crane in the future. There are two ways to solve this problem.

In this case, the hose gasket will be pressed very tightly against the pipe. The second way is to install an extension cord. The ends damaged by corrosion will be hidden at one end of the extension, and at the other end it will be possible to install and fix the hose with the gasket.

Unusual placement of the tap at the spout

There are some people who install a faucet after the faucets in front of the spout (from which warm and hot water flows), and not, as usual, to the cold water pipe in front of the mixer. In this case, you can save on electricity, which is required to heat cold water, because now warm water enters the structure.

When you turn on the faucet in such an arrangement, a mixture occurs (cold water enters the hot water pipe). In this case, you can degrade the quality of the water that enters the neighbors' apartment (if any). Of course, you can solve this problem by installing the so-called reverse taps in front of your mixer, but this has a minus. During washing, you must be careful not to open the taps of the mixer.

If the washing machine has a “stop water” system

There are such models of washing machines in which there is an Aqua-stop system (different manufacturers call this system differently).

If you have a washing machine with such a system, then you can refuse to install a tap.

On washing machines with such a system, or rather, at the end of the inlet hose, there are magnetic valves that are connected by wires to the washing machine and are controlled by it.

In this case, the valve control system itself will shut off the water if necessary, and install the necessary "fence" through which water will not pass.
