The choice of a washing design is a very big responsibility for buyers, because this is not a cheap electric kettle that you can change every year, nor a blender that you get in the kitchen only if necessary once a month.

Many housewives use washing structures every day, especially if the family is large or has a small child. At the same time, consumers choose a washing unit for a long time, during which it should only show its best side.

There are three main parameters with which you can understand the operation of the washing machine:

1. washing class;
2. Spin class;
3. Energy efficiency class.

Wash class

This indicator is applied in Latin letters A, B, C, D, F and G. The letter indicates the washing class.

The washing design receives a class in the form of a letter only after test tests, during which a piece of fabric of a special size is placed in the drum, on which various kinds of spots are placed. Then the powder is poured (the washing powder is used the same for all the tested washing machines for the purity of the experiment) and the standard washing process is switched on at a water temperature of exactly 60 degrees Celsius.

If, after the washing process, any contamination still remains on a piece of fabric, then the class is evaluated by checking the fabric with the results of the washing process of the standard washing machine. If the test washing design washed a piece of fabric much better than the reference washing machine, then it receives the most effective washing class - A or, in some cases, class B.

If the test result is somewhat worse, then the unit receives the following classes - C, D, F and G, which depends on the number of remaining spots on a piece of fabric.

The reference machine was installed and launched in 1995, and over the past ten years has increased its demands on the quality of washing. However, the manufacturing companies did not sit still.

In 2000, you would still have the opportunity to see washing machines with class F and G washing, but not today, because now such designs are very difficult to find among the huge number of washing machines (up to 99% of goods) with class A that flood the markets household appliances.

However, nowadays it is possible to find washing designs with low characteristics and washing classes. For example, the Candy CR 81 is a one-of-a-kind machine with a washing class D.Several outdated models from Daewoo are class C. Before purchasing this device, make sure that the washing machine you choose has a washing class not lower than category B.

Spin class

The spin class in the washing machine is also of great importance.

And really, who likes to get it after washing wet things, which will only drain for a day at first, and after that they will dry for the same amount?

The spin efficiency class is determined approximately according to the same algorithm as the washing class, and is indicated by the same English letters A, B, C, D, F, G.

As we know, BUT - this is the most effective class, and models with this designation wring out things better everyone, class AT - a little worse, but FROM - worse than class B. But still there is a difference when assigning a spin class to a particular model. It all depends on the residual moisture of things after unloading the laundry.

The minimum humidity is 40%, the maximum is 90%.

Let's say spin class C will be assigned to a model in which the moisture content of the laundry has decreased to 55%, and class F - if the humidity does not exceed 80%.

When choosing washing efficiency, everything is much simpler and clearer: it is best to take a washing machine with category A so that it removes stains as best as possible. But with the spin class, everything is not so simple.

First, efficiency A is very rare.

Secondly, the higher the spin class, the more expensive the equipment will be.

Thirdly, not every fabric lends itself to almost complete spinning, such as silk, wool and other delicate fabrics.

And here a logical question arises: is it worth paying more if the fabric still has to be dried on a rope? Probably not.

Of course, manufacturers are working to improve their performance and not stand still, but still, buyers have the risk of buying a washing machine with a low spin class.

Which one will still be better, everyone must decide for himself, but it is better to bypass the lowest categories. By the way, most buyers think that the spin class directly depends on the number of revolutions per minute, and there is some truth in this.

Yes, models with 500 rpm will not wring out clothes up to 40% moisture, but devices with a number of revolutions that reach the mark of 1000 can be both C and B class.

Energy efficiency class

At first, the models, as in the first two above indicators, were assigned classes A, B, C, and so on, depending on how many kW were spent on a washing cycle at 60 degrees Celsius.

But over time, the wasteful F and G categories went into oblivion and were abandoned by all manufacturers of washing machines.

But instead of them, new classes appeared, such as A +, A ++, and do not believe it, even A +++! No one excludes the possibility that new models with four plus signs may appear soon.

However, before buying, consider the fact that with each wash cycle, an A +++ class washing machine will save mere pennies compared to an A ++ class washing machine, although the initial price of the first will be several thousand rubles higher.

So the savings do not always pay off, and you risk wasting the money you need. As they say, the game is not worth the candle.

Top or front loading

Before you choose an automatic type washing machine, pay attention to the type of load: front or vertical.

The first have become very popular due to their price, variety of design and ergonomics, since, if desired, they can be placed even under the cabinet in the kitchen.

Vertical devices are a little more expensive, mainly in European assembly, but they only have a place in the bathroom.

Loading rate and dimensions

Most often, according to these factors, potential buyers determine for themselves a washing machine. Often, buyers have limited space in their home and can accommodate a model of certain dimensions in their home.

There are narrow automatic washing machines with a width of 0.32-0.35 m and a laundry load of 3-4 kilograms. There is not a lot of laundry to fit in such a washing machine, usually this is one bed set. Large items also cannot be put into the drum of such a washing machine, so winter blankets and down jackets will have to be washed by hand.

Models with a width of 0.4-0.45 m can accommodate 5 or even 6 kilograms of laundry. In such a washing machine, you can freely wash a couple of sets of linen or a blanket. Washing machines with such dimensions are suitable for families with 3-4 people.

Drying function

This function is not widely distributed, but those who have purchased a washing machine with such a program are very satisfied. And really, who will like the ropes stretched around the entire perimeter of the room, when you can dry things in the washing machine and get them out of there ready for ironing and hanging on a trempel?

But there are also a couple of downsides.

Firstly, this is a rather high price, because similar models without drying will cost you ten times cheaper.

Secondly, there is a risk that the laundry will become so dry that you will find it difficult to iron it.

Quick wash function

Now that we have talked about the spin and wash class indicators, let's talk about the accelerated wash mode.

This mode is needed in order to refresh the linen, remove light dust, fresh stains and sweat from it. It usually takes about 30-40 minutes.

During this time, washing is carried out at 30 degrees Celsius, 2 rinses and spin. In advanced models, this wash takes 15 minutes. Naturally, such a program will not work for worn-out things, or those that have felt-tip pen or grass stains on them.

Delayed start

Such a characteristic of a washing device as an energy consumption class does not depend in any way on the presence of a delayed start, since it does not in any way affect the cost of electricity, but only takes into account the kW spent during washing.

But for the consumer, this function will do a good deed if he has a two-rate meter. The delay can be fixed and hourly.

Fixed, as a rule, is found in budget models of the middle segment: the machine delays the start of washing by 3, 6 and 9 hours. Hourly delay can be set from 1 to 24 hours. Prewash

A rather useful function in a washing machine, especially if you need to remove dirt from old, stale laundry.

Of course, the first option is much more convenient than the second, because the button will not be tied to anything, and you can turn on an extra wash with any type of soiled fabric.

bio wash

This option may be called differently by all manufacturers, but the essence always remains the same. The machine for some time will not heat the water, but only maintain the temperature within 30-40 degrees.

During that allotted time period, the enzymes that are added to modern powders have time to start interacting and dissolve biological stains.

Special leak protection washing machines

There are several types of them.

The simplest one is float tray. When water appears at the bottom due to leaks the float rises and shuts off the water supply.

Complete and several steps protection against leaks is found, as a rule, in more expensive models and, in addition to the float, there is double hose.
