What to do if the LG washing machine stops responding to the washing process programs you set, or does not turn on at all?
Why the LG washing machine does not turn on
The moment you plugged the washing machine into the net, you could discover that your washer did not show any natural signs of life (for example, the greeting melody did not play, or the indicator did not light up).
There are actually a lot of reasons for this moment of questions: ranging from simple and rather light breakdowns that arose due to the owner’s indiscretion, to rather serious problems.
Lack of electricity
This is one of the most common reasons why your LG washing machine may not start is the lack of electrical power. There may be no power supply in the following cases:
The power went out in your entire house, but you didn't notice;- If you find the place where the wire broke, you can try to do everything yourself with electrical tape or a soldering iron, but we do not recommend taking such actions, as this does not comply with safety regulations and will simply aggravate the position of the cord
- There is a possibility of RCD operation, for example, when electrical energy has "leaked";
- You may have burned out an outlet. To find out for sure, just plug another device into this outlet, and if it works, then the problem is no longer in the outlet.
The wire of the washing structure is broken
To check the power cord from your assistant, it is best to use a standard tester (multimeter), or, in extreme cases, you can use an indicator screwdriver.
If your fears are confirmed, we recommend replacing the cord completely. If you find the place where the wire broke, then you can try to do everything yourself with electrical tape or a soldering iron, but we do not recommend taking such actions, as this does not comply with safety regulations and will simply aggravate the position of the cord. Even if you fixed everything correctly, the problem will still not disappear, it will only go away for a while.
Power button failure
For a large number of washing units, after the moment the cord is plugged into the outlet, the power of the washing machine itself can come from the on / off button.
The power button can also be tested with a regular tester. Set it to the buzzer (mode), disconnect the washing machine from the electricity, hold the button for a while in two states - on and off. If the power button is operational, then the tester (multmeter) will give out one of the characteristic sounds. If this is not the case, then you will need to replace the button.
The problem with the noise filter (FPS)
This filter extinguishes all electromagnetic waves that have the ability to interfere with the operation of other devices located nearby. These can be appliances such as a dishwasher, a TV or a microwave oven.
In such cases, if the filter breaks, it stops passing electricity through the circuit, which creates some kind of problem when you turn on the washing machine.
First you need to remove the top panel of the LG washing machine that is not working and find the FPS. At the input of the filter there are three wires, the first of which is ground, the rest are zero and phase (neutral), and at the output only neutral and phase.
If there is voltage at the input, but there is no voltage at the output, then we can assume that the problem is in this element, and it must be replaced.
We advise you to be very careful when checking FPS.
Broken control module
If all the previous reasons were not found, then the breakdown may lie precisely in control module. We say in advance that if you have to change the module, then it is very expensive, and it is unlikely that replacing the module will ever be a justified solution.
However, some masters have the ability to repair such an element, so to save all your resources, you just have to call them to your house.
Other reasons
The washing process does not turn on
It is not uncommon for such cases when you plugged in the washing machine, the indicator lights up, and the washing machine still does not work, whatever one may say.
Broken UBL (sunroof locking device) Closing the door is not recognized
First of all, make sure it is firmly pressed hatch door. If nothing obstructs your door, and it is tight 
closes, then it is worth checking whether it is blocked after starting the program.
If the lock did not work and the doors were not closed during the washing process, then this indicates that your lock is faulty. To find out exactly whether this is a blocker, you need to check this element with a tester.
If, when the program of the washing process is started, the current goes to the doors, but the blockage does not form, then there is a possibility that the hatch blocking device (UBL) has broken and it needs to be replaced.
When starting, the indicators "dance"
If you notice that when you turn on a non-working LG washing machine, all the light indicators gone crazy, blink randomly, or go out and light up together, then the problem is most likely in your wiring.
You should find the damaged area and replace it immediately.
