Russian-made washing machine: a quality purchase or wasted money?

Over the past few years, the inscription “Made in Russia” on the equipment has become increasingly visible, which caused mixed comments.

This interesting phenomenon has not bypassed washing machines.

But many began to wonder, what does this inscription mean?

Are these washing machines really being produced on the territory of the Russian Federation?

Or is it just a marketing ploy to make people want to buy a Russian-made washing machine to maintain the financial condition of the country?

Indeed, many, especially those who were born in the USSR, remember how high-quality equipment was in those days, copies of which are still working in the bins of our grandmothers. But can the same be said about Russian-made washing machines of our day?

Assembly or production - that is the question

Specifically, the production of washing machines in our great and vast territory has been going on since the days of the Soviet Union.Everyone remembers such washing machines as "Malyutka", "Fairy", "Ob", which were presented even in the form of semi-automatic devices! But with regards to automatic washing machines, the first such “independent” washing machine in all functions was Vyatka-12, which was manufactured on February 23, 1981.

And even in our time, Russian-made washing machines of the notorious Vyatka plant in Kirov cannot be called 100% Russian, because in 2005 the plant was bought out by the promising Candy. They carried out work on updating the equipment and further continued the development of production, not forgetting to introduce the latest technologies. Such washing machines are simply called washing machines, collected on the territory of the country, but they are not Russian in any way.

The brutal part of the enterprises that assemble washing machines are only representative offices of foreign companies that have gained popularity (for example, Germany, Korea and Italy) or companies that have bought the right to use the trademark and brand. Devices made in such places are said to have only been assembled by the workers of Russia.

On the territory of the Russian Federation, washing machines of the following brands are assembled:

• Indesit and Hotpoint Ariston - the assembly of washing machines of these two Italian brands is carried out at a plant in the city of Lipetsk.
• LG - the assembly of washing machines with the same brand of the Korean company is carried out in the city of Ruza, Moscow Region.
• Samsung - devices with the second Korean brand are assembled in the Kaluga region.
• VEKO and Vestel - these washing machines with brands of Turkish manufacturers are assembled in two cities - Kirzhach and Aleksandrovka (Vladimir region).

Washing machines from a Russian manufacturer are also produced in the Far East "Ocean". They are produced as modifications with frontal and vertical loading of linen.

For the most part, domestic-made washing machines are standard activator-type washing machines with / without spinning, which are loved by all summer residents for their mobility and reasonable price. As an example, you can take the Siberia semi-automatic washing machine, which is produced at a factory in the city of Omsk.

Manufacturer Evgo, which is located on the territory adjacent to Khabarovsk, is also engaged in the production of automatic washing machines. But this is only conditionally domestic production, since Chinese sellers supply components for assembly.

Individual features in the production of washing machines on the territory of the Russian Federation lie in the characteristics of market demand. Buyers of domestic products are interested in the following factors:

If you make a choice in favor of a Russian-made washing machine (or rather, an assembly), then only one that is equipped with leaks and power surges in the network. Washing machines from manufacturers such as Bosch, Ariston, LG and Indesit have leakage protection. This is partly present in the VEKO and Atlant washing machines - they also have protection against power surges.

As for energy consumption, our washing machines, like European ones, have class A. The average water consumption does not exceed 45 liters. This is achieved not only by reducing the amount of linen, but also through the use of the latest technologies such as Smart Technology and Inverter Direct Drive.

Value for money

The assembly or complete manufacture of Russian-made washing machines has led to a marked decrease in product quality. But there are also pluses - the price has also become lower, which made it possible to make washing machines more affordable for middle-class buyers. Over a period of several years, Russian craftsmen working in domestic service centers agreed that such washing machines are the most unreliable.

As statistics show, most often domestic Indesit washing machines with Russian assembly are handed over for repairs. The same fate did not escape the Russian-made Bosch, the price of which is much lower than for washing machines with the same brand, but assembled in Germany. VEKO, Vestel and Candy also distinguished themselves by their fragility.

If we compare the service life of Russian-made washing machines with others assembled outside the territory of the Russian Federation, we can conclude that their service life is short.

• Russian-made washing machines assembled from parts of Chinese origin have been operating without failure for about two years.
• Cars assembled in Russia from German, Italian and other original parts last approximately five years.
• Completely Chinese washing machines also last five years.
• Cars assembled by Koreans or Italians work perfectly for eight years.
• Laundry devices assembled by the French and Germans work without interruption from ten to sixteen years.
• Washing machines assembled in Sweden or Austria are rightfully called the most reliable. Their service life can vary depending on the conditions of use from about fourteen to twenty years.

When purchasing a washing machine, we advise you to pay attention to the assembler country, since over the past few years it has become difficult to find washing machines in the original assembly of the brands you need. Washing machine made in China and Russia is now the cheapest. Therefore, the demand for them is only increasing.
