Kandy washing machine errors: all error codes

Most washing machines manufactured today are equipped with a self-diagnostic function.

The Candy model is also equipped with a self-diagnostic device and, if an error occurs, sends information to the owner on the display.

Each error is coded, and knowing the meaning of the code, you can quickly deal with the problem or contact the service center for help.

For washing machines with display

E01 - a problem associated with blocking the hatch of the washing machine (UBL). The reason may be in the wiring, in the door lock or in the incorrect operation of the electronic controller.

Or maybe the Kandy washing machine gives an error simply because of stuck clothes, which does not allow the hatch to close tightly.

E02 – the error reports an insufficient amount of water in the tank or vice versa about its excess content than is necessary for the program to run. The cause may be either a blockage in the hose or a broken fill valve. Perhaps the e02 error in the candy washing machine indicates a failed water sensor and its nozzle, or the controller may have broken.

E03 - informs about poor water drainage or there is no drainage at all. This was affected by a pump malfunction, or maybe the pressure switch does not work correctly and gives the washing machine false signals.

When the Kandy washing machine gives an e03 error, you should first check the drain system, because it can also cause a breakdown along with clogged pipes and a filter.

E04 – a signal about a large amount of water in the tank. There is a problem with the filling valve. The signal is displayed on the display after 3 minutes of not correcting the problem. The reasons are in the filling valve, which did not work and the water did not stop collecting after the corresponding signal. This is also indicated by the failed controller.

E05 - problems with water heating. A typical error for the breakdown of the heating element (heater), as well as its wires and contacts. The controller is also responsible for heating, as well as the temperature sensor.

You will need a multimeter to help determine the resistance.

The operating value should be 20 ohms at room temperature. When the error is e05, the candy washing machine asks you to pay attention to the motor and check the voltage and resistance. Both blocks (indicator and control) must be in normal working condition.

How to recognize an error?

If the display is not provided, then the information is conveyed by flashing indicators. You can recognize the error by the number of blinks. There will be a pause of 5 seconds between series of flashes.

Error codes

• 0 - Incorrect operation of the control module.
• 1 - a problem with the locking of the door of the washing machine. Possibly loose contacts or wires.
• 2 - water is not poured, or it is poured, but not fast enough.
• You need to check if the water tap is open and what the water pressure is. The problem could be due to the filling valve or the water level sensor.

• 3 – after the program was completed, the water was not drained. The drain pump is responsible for this, so you need to look for the malfunction there. It is worth checking its contacts and filter with pipes.
• 4 – a large amount of water in the tank. Perhaps the reasons in the level sensor or the wires are out of order, or the filling valve may be jammed.
• 5 – short circuit or open circuit of the temperature sensor.
• 6 - EEPROM memory problems. The control unit is responsible for it.
• 7 - an error in the operation of the engine, most likely jammed.
• 8 - malfunctions in the tachogenerator.
• 9 - malfunction of the triac of the engine.
• 12, 13 – data transfer between the modules is interrupted, which is possible if the connection is broken.
• 14 - failure of the control unit.
• 15 - program failure.
• 16 - failure of the heating element.
• 17 - incorrect information from the tachogenerator.
• 18 - failure of the control unit and problems with the power grid.

Diagnostics

To diagnose a washing machine you need:

1. Set the switch to OFF with the drum empty.
2. Find the first button of the additional function on the left, press and hold the switch to the second position, basically this is a temperature indicator of 60 degrees.
3. Wait 5 seconds, all indicators should light up and only then release the additional functions button and press “Start”.

If it does not work, repeat these steps with another additional function button.

1. The machine draws 6 liters of water through the powder and prewash compartment.
2. Pauses and starts the heating element.
3. Gets water.
4. The drum starts up.
5. Pause again (4 sec).
6. Simultaneous collection of water and drum operation.
7. Checking the pump with a complete drain of water.
8. Spin turns on.

Diagnostics completed. When finished, all indicators should light up.

Tips for all washing machines

There are errors that are common to all washing machines. At first glance, they are banal, but often problems arise precisely because of indiscretion.

1. Washing machine won't turn on. You need to check if the washing machine is connected to the outlet and make sure that there is electricity in the whole house.
2. Lots of foam. Check if hand washing powder has been accidentally added.
